Mominations invited for NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar - 2015

Mangaluru: Invitation for submission of nominations for the prestigious and first of its kind presentation of award by leading Konkani (in Kannada script) monthly, Naman Ballok Jesu, published from Mangaluru to confer award on talented youth from the Catholic community.

To mark the celebration of stepping into the 7th year of its publication, ‘Naman Ballok Jesu’, the leading Konkani (in Kannada script) monthly magazine launched in 2009 from the coastal city of Mangaluru is proud to announce the institution of ‘NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar – 2015’ award to recognize, honour and encourage talented Catholic Youth and thereby inspire the younger generation to excel in their chosen fields. This Award consists of Rs. 25,000 cash, a citation and a memento.

The ‘NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar’, will be an annual feature to identify and recognize by conferring special award to talented Catholic youth in the age group of 18-30, who have made significant or outstanding contributions and achievements in any field including Sports, Literature, Arts, Science, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Social Service, Environmental Protection, etc will be presented the ‘NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar’.

The ‘NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar’ is being instituted to recognize, honour and encourage talented Catholic Youth and thereby motivate other youth also to strive for reaching greater heights and excellence in their chosen fields, which would lead to creating better leaders capable of contributing to the enrichment and improvement of society and their surroundings.

Entries or nominations are invited by the youth themselves or by organisations familiar with their work by providing necessary duly attested documentary supportive testimonials (profile, xerox copies of birth, educational and other citations-honours received etc, along with complete contact particulars of address, telephone, email IDs and names and contact particulars of 2 (two) eminent persons familiar with the candidate for verification purposes and recommendation letter from the Parish Priest concerned or heads of college or institute by November 20, 2015.

The entries/nominations will be scrutinized by an eminent panel of judges and the names of the awardees will be announced by December 10, 2015.

This year’s NBJ Yuva Pratibha Puraskar will be conferred on the selected youth on December 20, 2015, at the Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikkarnakatta, Mangaluru, during the Anniversary Celebration of Naman Ballok Jesu monthly magazine.

Naman Ballok Jesu is a Konkani monthly magazine in Kannada script launched in the year 2009 and is being published by the Carmelite Fathers at the Infant Jesus Shrine in Mangaluru.
