NHRC chairman H L Dattu inspects district prison

Mangaluru: H L Dattu, chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) visited Mangalore district prison for inspection on Wednesday, August 24. After the inspection of district prison, HL Dattu did not speak to media about his visit.

HL Dattu visited district prison for inspection and had a meeting with jail committee members and jail officials. He gave few suggestions and instructions to district prison committee and jail superintendent.

About space problem in the district prison, the chairman asked the authorities to speed up the construction of new jail which is set to come up in outskirts of city.
