‘‘NO’VYO VOVIYO’ – Training Programme’bon Sun., Feb. 28, 2016, at Kalaangann

Mangaluru: Mandd Sobhann has experimented with the traditional ‘voviyo’s – with the intention of reviving and rejuvenating the tradition of singing ‘voviyo’s at the ‘Roce’ ceremonies, and also to attract the younger generation in carrying forward the tradition – by retuning and reinventing them.

Sumell, the Singing Club of Mandd Sobhann has organised the ‘NO’VYO VOVIYO’ Training Programme – on Sun., Feb. 28, 2016, at Kalaangann, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to train those who are interested in learning the new ‘voviyo’s.

The participants will be given a copy of the ‘NO’VYO VOVIYO’ CD and the lyrics, so that they may be able to sing them at the ‘Roce’ ceremonies in their surroundings.

Those interested, should register their names at Kalaangann office: 0824-2230489. Registration fee – Rs. 100/- only.
