Nalin Kumar Kateel points to Kasargod culture in DK

Mangaluru: "The crimes of communal nature in Kasaragod in Kerala were spreading to Dakshina Kannada," said DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.tthe MP met the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on July 9 and submitted a memorandum.

MP Kateel said in the memorandum that organisations, namely the Popular Front of India, which succeeded the National Development Front and the Karnataka Forum for Dignity, has a good presence in Kasaragod. The Kerala government had told the High Court that the activities of these organisations posed a threat to national security. MP Kateel said that members of these organisations were accused in communal crime incidents in Dakshina Kannada.

He said that the Union government should ban these organisations. He said members of these organisations were posting messages on social media platforms threatening his life. While mentioning about the tension in Dakshina Kannada following death of RSS activist Sharath Madiwala on July 4, MP Kateel has listed in his letter the alleged murders of political activists reported in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Madikeri since October 2015.

He has also urged the Centre to direct the State government to deal with the forces that are creating communal trouble with the force of the laws of the land.
