Nandalike Abbanadka Shree Durga Parameshwari Friend's Club celebrates World Labour Day

Karkala: World Labour Day is the day that recognises the work of the labour class. Set aside on May 1, it is on this day that we remember and appreciate those who tirelessly work for us. There are a few areas where public service is required throughout the year. The labour class works relentlessly without holidays for festivals or birthdays and therefore, one cannot discount their efforts.

As part of the 18th World Labour Day celebration at Nandalike Abbanadka Shree Durgaparameshwari Friend's Club, founding president, Vittal Moolya, employed as a painter at Nandikoor Nagarjuna Company was honoured for his many years of service and felicitated.

The president of the club, Rajesh Kotian presided over the event. Convener of the programme, Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, joint-secretary Abbanadka Satish Poojary, treasurer Abbanadka Hariprasad Acharya, Womens Secretary Sandhya Shetty, Lalita Acharya, Leela Poojary, Pushpa Kulal and Aarthi Kumari among others were present.
