National integration day organized at Mahesh College

Mangaluru: Mahesh College of Commerce and Management celebrated National Integration Day on August 13 at Lions Seva Mandir , Mangalore with a patriotic fervour and gusto

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the programme, Lion Umesh Prabhu M (President, Lions Club, Mangalore) said, “We should be proud to be called as Indians. The college students represent the motto ‘Unity in Diversity’. The Maheshians should become the ambassadors of these values inculcated in the college when they go out.”

Sadananda Shetty, Rtd AGM of VIjaya Bank was the guest of honour. He entertained the students with a melodious patriotic song. Then the students exhibited their talents by participating in various competitions such as solo singing, duet and group singing, solo and group dance based on the theme of national integration.

The performances were rated by Mallika Shetty and Sadananda Shetty. The principal Prof Herald Fernandes welcomed the guests and Roopa, lecturer in Hindi thanked everyone. Mareena Seema Sequeira, the president & Sathvik Shetty, the secretary of the association were present on the dais.
