National level Kabaddi tournament "Bunts Trophy-2015" will be held on 7th Nov

Udupi : Belman Zone Bantara Yane Nadawara Sangha ®, Karkala (Belman, Nadalike, Sooda, Kedinje, Kalya, Kanthavara) to organize National level Invited Teams Men’s Day and Night “Bants Trophy Belman 2015” Kabaddi Tournament will be held on Saturday, 7th November, 2015 at Bola Parthimarguttu Kadya Mutthayya Shetty Memorial Kridangana, Belman. The tournament will be inaugurated at 3 p.m.

During the stage programme, Suhas Hegde Nandalike, President of Bantara Yane Nadavara Sangha Belman will preside. Chief guests during the occasion will be Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister of Urban Development and district in charge Minister, Abhayachandra Jain, Minister of Sports and Fisheries, Shobha Karandlaje member of Udupi Chickmaglur Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency. V. Sunil Kumar local MLA, Mallika Rao President of Belman Grama Panchayat, Amruth Pal IGP, Western Range, Mangalore and officials of Bantara Sangha’s of Udupi and D.K. District, Rajendra Suvarna President of Udupi district Kabaddi Association, Nilesh Sindhe Bengal Variers,National team mate of Kabaddi, Nithin Madane of Bengal Variers, Shettir Baby of U Mumba national player, Jeeva Kumar of U Mamba national player and others will be present.

The prizes of the tournament will be first prize Rs. 77,777/- with permanent Shield Trophy, Second prize Rs. 55,555/ with Shield Trophy, Third Prize Rs. 33,333/ with Shield Trophy and Fourth prize will be Rs. 22,222/- with shield Trophy. There will be attractive prizes for best Ryder, best Catcher, Best All rounder and other personal prizes.

It is also said that this tournament is supposed to be first in history with playing on mat in the district. There are state, national and international players participating in the matches. Around 18 teams are confirmed for playing and more teams are expected.

The purpose of the tournament is to unite Bants community spread all over nationally and internationally. This will be good platform to unite Bants and Nadavara community, he said while speaking with media persons at Udupi press club. Suhas Hegde Nandalike, Rethish Shetty Sooda, Sooryakanth Shetty Kedinje and others were present during the press meet at Udupi
