National level chess tournament to be held in Kaup

Udupi: Kalabhimani Sangha, Kaup along with Vidyaniketan Group of Institutions supported by the Udupi District Chess Association , Udupi will hold a national level Chess tournament on December 9 and December 10.

For the first time a national level Chess tournament, Sri Narayana Guru Trophy National FIDE Rating Rapid Chess Tournament will be held on 9th and 10th December in rural place.

There are a total of 175 prizes to be won, with a grand total of a whopping Rs 2 lakh. There is Open Category (Top 25), Age category under 7,9,11,13,15 Top 10 boys and girls separately and also participants will be competing for Udupi Best Player (Top), Kaup Best Player (Top 10), Rating Category and Best Youngest Player prize also.
