Udupi: Poornaprajna College Udupi and Forum of Mathematics Teachers of Mangalore University under the sponsorship of University Grant Commission inaugurated National Seminar on Graph Networks and Navigators at the Poornaprajna Auditorium on Friday, 2nd January, 2015.

The program began with invocation prayer by Gargi Shabharya and Sharadhi Pateel. Prof. K. Sadashiva Rao Principal of Poornaprajna College presided. H. H. Sri Sri Vishwpriya Theertha Swamiji of Admar Mutt blessed the occasion. Mr. Purushothama R. Bhat Director, Robosoft Technologies Udupi, Dr. B. Soorya Narayana HOD Mathematics, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Bengaluru, Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar Hon. Secretary of PCMC, Sri Raghavendra A. HOD of Mathematics and P. Umesh Nayak of Forum of Mathematics Teachers of Mangalore University were present on the dais.

H. H. Sri Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji inaugurated the program with lighting the lamp. Sri Raghavendra A. HOD of Mathematics gave introduction of the theme of seminar and the guests. Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar during his address said that the study and research of basic sciences essentially needed to attract large number of students in mathematics.

Purushothama R. Bhat gave some history of popularity of mathematics since early Vedic ages. H. H. Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji briefed regarding the achievements of the college and conveyed his best wishes for the success of national level seminar.

Prof. K. Sadashiva Rao Principal of the college gave his presidential remarks. Earlier Dr. A. P. Bhat Dean of Science Faculty and HOD in Physics welcomed the guests with bouquets. Prof. Malathi K. HOD of Zoology proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Suparna HOD of Chemistry and Ms. Anushree Department of Statistics compered the program.
