Nativity of Mother Mary celebrated at AIMIT campus

Mangaluru: Over 250 Catholic students of AIMIT, pursuing MBA and PG courses in Information Technology along with the faculty members gathered at the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium to celebrate the feast of the Nativity of Mother Mary on Thursday.

The new corn was blessed by Fr Melwin Pinto, director, Fatima Retreat House, who was the chief celebrant outside the hall and students went in procession into the hall.

Fr Melwin in his homily spoke about the importance spending time together in families and having meals together without any distraction
from the modern gadgets. During the offertory procession students gave offerings which will be distributed to students of local government school. The choir was led by Rayan D’Souza and the whole celebration was organized by Fr Balaraju, campus minister at AIMIT. Fr Denzil Lobo, director greeted students and the faculty and thanked the organizers.

Members of the congregation offered flowers to the statue of mother Mary at the end of the Eucharistic celebration.
