Nitte University sends student delegation to Mizoram

Mangaluru: A six member delegation comprising five students and one faculty member from Nitte University has left for Mizoram on 26th March 2017 to take part in a week-long Student Interaction and Medical Camp in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram.

The event is jointly organized by the Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC), a nonprofit organization based in Mumbai, and T. Ramona College, Aizawl. INFC is the brainchild of the current Governor of Nagaland & Arunachal Pradesh H.E. ShriP. B.Acharyaand works towards organizing activities that help increase the interaction among the people of mainland and NorthEast of India.

The NAMASTE Centre for Studies on North Eastern States at Nitte University was actively involved in coordinating this visit to Mizoram.

During their stay in Mizoram, the students will participate in various social activities, which includes free health checkup for the villagers, blood donation, cleanliness and tree plantation drive. The students will also present a cultural program showcasingthe tradition and heritage of Karnataka.
