Office of ASP and DCIB shifted to Bantwal

Mangaluru: Offices of Additional Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada and of the District Crime Information Bureau (DCIB) will be shifted to Bantwal, with a view to curb communal incidents and other crimes effectively. This was informed Inspector-General of Police (Western Range) P. Harishekaran.

Speaking at the Bantwal Taluk peace committee meeting in B.C. Road, IGP Harishekaran said police will crack down on persons allegedly involved in creating communal trouble and in the illegal sale of cannabis in the district.

Critical of the persons behind recent group clashes in Bantwal, IGP Harishekaran said it was here that he found persons who wanted to create problems and give it a different colour. The IGP said the police were searching the persons behind the group.
