Kinnigoli: As a part of golden jubilee celebration, public cleanliness programme, free health check-up, blood donation camp, inauguration of the expansion area of the church, etc. were inaugurated at the St. Jude’s Pilgrim centre of Pakshikere by Mulki Dugganna Savantha Arasa of Mulki. He said, “It is happy to see that the Christian community people are rendering good services to the public by uniting all sections of the society and associations, organizations. This will be a guidance to everybody.
The dream of ‘Clean India’ will come true if everyone do social work with unity”. Then, the Chief Parish Priest of Mangalore Diocese – Fr. Denis Morez Prabhu said, “It is possible to build a good community if everyone live with peace and mutual love and do the work of the society with good objectives”. During this occasion, Dugganna Savantha was felicitated and the contractor Walter D’Souza was also honored.
The Chief Parish Priest of Pakshikere Church – Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza, Medical Officer of Srinivas Hospital, Mukka – Dr. Annaiah Kulal, Mangalore A.J. Hospital’s Blood Bank Unit’s Dr. Gopalakrishna, Asst. Parish Priest of Pakshikere Church – Fr. Patrick Sequeira, Vice-President of Church Supervisory Board – Vincent D’Souza, Lecturer – Jayananda Suvarna and others were present during this occasion.

The workers of about 35 associations-institutions and the public from the surroundings of Pakshikere made the ‘Cleanliness” programme successful by cleaning the plastic and the debris lying on the roadside.
