Panel Discussion on Central Budget 2016 at St Philomena College

Puttur: The Planning Forum of Post Graduate Department of Economics of St Philomena College Puttur organized a panel discussion on Central Budget-2016 on March 4, 2016 at seminar hall of the PG centre.

The Professor of the Department Dr. Yashodha Ramachandra moderated the panel discussion. Speaking on the occasion she said, ‘The Central Budget 2016 is a pro-agriculture, pro-rural sector budget. The budget has made provision for the development of agriculture and rural sector, and thereby, to achieve accelerated economic development of the nation.’

Mr. A P Subrahmanyam, agriculturist, Mr. Umesh Nayak, stock broker and Mr. Deepak K, Chartered Accountant participated as panel members. The students of the Department Mr. Bharath and Ms. Lavita J Lobo presented the highlights of the budget. Ms. Shwetha, Ms. Shreevalli and Ms. Shilpashree presented the prayer song. The coordinator of Department Prof. Dinakara Rao welcomed the gathering. The convenor of the Planning Forum Prof. Pradeep K S coordinated the programme. The President of the Planning Forum Ms. Sahana Y proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Sowmya compered the programme.
