Pedestrian succumbs to injuries after motor bike hits her

Beltangady, Feb 2: In a tragic incident, a woman pedestrian lost her life after a motor bike hit her on January 31 at Irvathurpadavu near Vamadapadavu

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Ramakku, wife of the late Bhoja Poojary from Korantabettu near Punjalkatte. She had alighted from a bus on Sunday afternoon and was crossing the road from the rear side of the parked bus, when a motor bike which came from the opposite direction hit her. Ramakku fell down, and bled profusely due to injuries sustained during the fall.

She was admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru in unconscious state by an ambulance. But she failed to respond to treatments and breathed her last sometime later. Police have registered a case.
