Person arrested for appearing as dummy candidate

Mangaluru: Police personnel from Bunder station have arrested a person for appearing as dummy candidate for another person for the test conducted for direct recruitment to the post of forest watchers. This test was held in a college in the city on Sunday January 24.

The name of the candidate who was authorized to appear for the examination was Sannabasappa. Yogeesh appeared in Sannabasappa's place for the test and was attempting the question paper, when inspectors found out the fraud and alerted the range forest officer.

The officials escorted the accused to police station and filed complaint against him. The police personnel have registered a case, and begun investigation into the incident.
