‘Phoenix 2016’ concluded at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: The valedictory function of intercollegiate Physics Fest ‘Phoenix 2016’ organized by Post Graduate Department of Physics of St Philomena College Puttur held on March 17, 2016 in Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall of the college.

 

The Chairman, Centre for PG Studies and Research Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro delivered the valedictory address. He said, ‘The students of Physics do not need colourful language. The guidance of a teacher and reading of standard text books help in acquiring knowledge.’ He also distributed the prizes to the champions of ‘Phoenix 2016’. SDM College Ujire bagged the overall championship and Poornaprajna College Udupi secured the Runners up trophy.

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the function. The HOD of UG Department of Physics Dr. A P Radhakrishna graced the occasion. The Co-ordinator of PG Studies in Physics Dr E Deepak D’Silva delivered the preliminary address.

Ms. Varsha Moleyar welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sowmya Bhat proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Anusha K S compered the programme.
