Poojary to retire if Modi wins 2019 elections

Published On : 14 Feb 2017

Mangaluru: Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary said that India will be torn into pieces if Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues with the way he is running the government,.

Speaking to media at the Press Club on February 13, Poojary said, "People have now realised that all of Modi’s assurances were nothing but a joke aimed at fooling the innocent people of the country. His demonetization move has done irreparable damage to small businesses. It’s time Modi steps down if at all he is unable to run the administration efficiently. Modi is answerable to me and the 130 crore people of India regarding his promises which have been fulfilled.

"Modi has been unable to keep his promises, to keep Pakistan under check and to deal with the problem of terrorism. India needs a smart leader. I will quit politics if he wins 2019 elections," added Poojary.
