Mangaluru: Noted Konkani singer, composer and lyricist Ronald D’Souza passed away on Saturday at the age of 70. He was popularly known as Rony Bondel among his fans.
He had the credit of composing songs of the first Konkani movie ’Teesri Cheet.’ Rony who had completed his ITI was a former employee of Lamina Foundation and had also worked at Jeppu Workshop.
He had composed nearly 400 songs and had also contributed 18 of his compositions for the Guineess World Record feat of Konkani Niranthari in 2008.
