Pramod Madhwaraj congratulates Indian women’s cricket team

Udupi: Minister for Sports and Youth Empowerment Pramod Madhwaraj congratulated the Indian women’s cricket team for its good performance in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup-2017 held in England. They finished runners-up in the tournament.

The minister has announced a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh each for Rajeshwari Gayakwad from Vijayapura and Veda Krishnamurthy from Kadur, Chikkamagaluru. They both are from Karnataka and have made state proud along with country.

"The team had shown the best-ever performance and reached the final, overcoming all odds. They deserve all praises. On behalf of state government, we will be giving a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh each for Rajeshwari Gayakwad from Vijayapura and Veda Krishnamurthy from Kadur," said Madhwaraj.
