Pratibha Day held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Prathibha Day celebrations of St Philomena College Puttur were held on 12th April 2016. The chief guest Mr. Roy Castelino, President, Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy said, ‘Education has been the driving force of India’s march into the spectrum of development. In recent years, regrettably engineering and medical careers rule the roost in the preferred choices of career sidelining research opportunities in general sciences.’

Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto, Correspondent presided over the programme. The president Parents-Students Association Mr. Ganesh Rao and the president of Old Students Association Mr. Jayakumar Rai and Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro graced the occasion.

Ms. Sahana Rao and team presented the prayer song. The President of Students’ Council Mr. Hadley Wilson Gonsalves welcomed the gathering. The Secretary Mr. Ibrahim Bilal presented the annual report and Joint Secretary Ms. Shiksha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Elizabeth Sebastian and Ms. Nisha compered the programme.
