Prayers to be offered for favourable verdict on Yettinahole project

Mangaluru: Vijay Kumar Shetty, president of Nethravati Rakshana Samyuktha Samiti informed that they will carry out community prayers at temples, churches and mosques on September 14.

Prayers will be offered on September 14 at Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple from 8.30 am to 9.30 am, Milagres Church from 10.00 am to 10.30 am, Mangaladevi Temple from 11.00 am to 11.30 am, Ullal Dargah from around 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm and Gokarnatheshwara Temple in Kudroli from 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm. MLA J R Lobo, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and ZP members will also take part in these prayers.

“The chief minister (CM) is isolating the coastal districts. Some officers are suggesting desalination units to be implemented, but Dakshina Kannada district by nature is blessed with water. Let them establish desalination units and supply water to Kolar and Chikkaballapur. Desalination of water is an expensive process.” Shetty said.
