Protested BJP leaders in Udupi arrested over Tippu Jayanthi celebration

Udupi: The leaders of BJP were arrested by the Police for observing Black Day against the state sponsored Tippu Sultan Jayanthi at Udupi, opposite of Udupi Taluk office on Thursday, 10th November, 2016.

Some very few leaders of BJP gathered at the Taluk Office and shouted against the Chief Minister, Siddaramaih and Tippu Sultan. The district administration on account of Tippu Jayanthi clamped prohibitory orders 144 section across the district to maintain peace on account of state sponsored Tippu Jayanthi celebrations due to opposition.

Mattar Ratnakar Hegde, Udupi district BJP President, Suresh Naik, Secretary, Yashpal Suvarna, President of Fish Trading Federation, Udaykumar Shetty, former district President, Suprasad, Vice President and others were arrested. The entire arrest was recorded through the Video cameras by Police.
