Mangaluru: Rahim Uchil, the vice-president of BJP Minority Morcha, has filed a case at court against forest minister and district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai for his alleged offensive remark against state Yuva Brigade leader Chakravarthy Sulibele.

The complaint dated September 25, mentioned that Rai had called Sulibele as ‘Sule Bele’ which is an offensive and humiliating word in Kannada. Rai had allegedly made this remark on September 22 in a public meeting in Asaigoli near Ullal. Rai also called Chakravarthy an anti-national during the same meeting.

Rahim Uchil has said that since the video of the remarks went viral later in the internet, Sulibele has faced mental trauma because of the humiliation.
