Mangaluru: National president of Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi, will be undertaking tour of Dakshna Kannada district on March 20 and 21 this year. During this visit, he will be addressing several public meetings.

"Rahul Gandhi's programmes in Hyderabad Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka areas received immense support from the public. This success has given rise to a sense of jitter and disappointment among BJP leaders. BJP are indulging in making false allegations against the state government," MLC Ivan stated.

The MLC reasoned that the BJP leaders are now resorting to politics of vengeance as the programmes in which Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and BJP national president, Amit Shah, participated at Bengaluru and Davanagere did not get the response the party expected from the general public. Ivan felt that the BJP leaders have realized that BJP will be defeated by Congress in both assembly election in the state this year, and the next year's Lok Sabha election.

Congress leaders, J Nagendra Kumar, Puneeth Shetty, Gururaj, Mudassir Kurdroli, Lloyd D'Souza and Nazeer Bajal were present.
