Rathnakumar Felicitated by Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkoota

LET US WORK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TULU LANGUAGE: DHARMAPALA DEVADIGA

Mangaluru, June 1: Mr.Rathna Kumar M – Journalist, writer, who has been striving for the development and organization of Tulu language since 30 years, was honored by Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota at Enclave office auditorium, Mugroad, Kavooru. The felicitation programme was held under the presidentship of Dharmapala U Devadiga- the president of the association.

 

Udayavani News bureau Chief, Manohara Prasad, during his felicitation speech remembered Rathnakumar’s friendly nature and his simple personality. He said Mr Rathnakumar is acclaimed by higher officers for his dedicated service.

Renowned Physician Dr.Vidyadhar Shetty was present as chief guest and said “Rathnakar’s life is a rolemodel for everybody”.

Mr Rathnakar conveyed his gratitude for the felicitation. Dharmapala U Devadiga expressed his views and stressed on the importance of working in an organized manner for obtaining accreditation for Tulu language.

Jayakar Shetty Indrali, Divakar Shetty Sangli, A C Bhandari Bantwala, Adyar Mahabala Shetty, Purushothama Bhandari Adyar, Vijayalaxmi B Shetty, Chandrashekhar Suvarna, Chandrahasa Devadiga, Rajesh Alva Badiyadka, M S Shetty, Pradeep Alva, Tharanath Shetty Bolar, Ganesh Mally, Jayalaxmi, Harish Neermarga, Suresh Kumar Bangalore, P A Purary and others were present.

Nitte Shashidara Shetty welcomed all. Mulky Karunakara Shetty proposed vote of thanks; Kadri Navneet Shetty conducted the programme.
