Kundapur, Mar.02: Four days retreat was performed at Kundapur Holy Rosary Church by the Parish Priest of Kume Church of Chikmagalur Diocese – Rev Fr. Elias Sequiera and group. This retreat began on 24th and ended successfully on 27th.

In this 4-days programme, preachings about forgiveness, mercy, charity, confession, marriage, family life, etc. were given.

He spoke about acceptance of the Holy Spirit on the last day, its power, how to do prayer and said that we should pray to God by knowing whether our prayer is for good or bad. He also said, “Quitting drinks, smoking, and other bad habits is not enough. We should not think that we are good as we don’t trouble anyone. We should do good to others”.

Brother Jeevan, Alwyn and Steven extended their co-operation for the retreat of Fr. Elias.

After the retreat was over, the Asst. Parish Priest – Rev. Prakash Paul D’Souza offered flower bouquets to them and thanked them.

The Parish Priest of Kundapur Holy Rosary Church – Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza introduced Fr. Elias and group and said, “Rev.Fr. Elias is basically from Kuppe Padavu. He acts according to what he speaks. He always walks with bare foot. During these 40 black days, he drinks only liquids and doesn’t consume food at all. We are lucky to be encouraged by such a great man and have a chance of getting retreat through him” and offered his gratitude to him and his group.

This retreat got good response from the devotees and was successful.
