Rotary Club, Brahmavar conducts Raitha Mithra for promotion of farmers

Udupi: Rotary Club, Brahmavar unit has organized ‘Raitha Mithra’ a special competition for college students.

As per the norms of this competition, students as a group should meet the farmers and gather information on agriculture. This is a great privilege in honouring farmers.

Students interested in taking part in the competition must send a detailed report not exceeding 15-20 sentences (500 words) and a felicitation photo through mail or post before Wednesday August 31.

The winning team will get Rs 25,000 cash prize which will be distributed in the presence of the district Rotary governor on the occasion.

This is a small effort made by the Rotary organization to promote farmers and to educate youth on agriculture.

It will come up as an inspiration for all farmers who have faced a poor harvest and create awareness among the youth on the importance of agriculture.

A group can consist of five members.

It is a great privilege for the students to recognize and felicitate the farmers (Annadata). Thus the students should utilize this one week fully.
