SAC to host national inter-collegiate Arts fest 'ArtBeat' from Feb 1 to 3

Mangaluru: Countdown for ArtBeat 2018 has officially begun. The national-level inter-collegiate Arts Fest countdown was inaugurated on January 22 at 11.50 am at the administrative block at St Aloysius College, here.

Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, St Aloysius College, inaugurated a miniature model of an imperial palace, symbolizing the theme ‘Grandeur’, by the cutting of the ribbon. Addressing the staff and students of the Arts faculty, he lauded the hard work of the ArtBeat decoration committee and wished the faculty the best for their future endeavours.

Dr Alwyn D’Sa, vice principal, administrative block; Dr Vishanz Pinto, dean, faculty of Arts; Dr A M Narahari, registrar; Fr Alphonse Fernandes, professor, department of sociology; Mukund Prabhu, co-ordinator, Aloysian fest and Santhosh Notagar, staff coordinator, ArtBeat were present at the occasion.

ArtBeat is an annual National Arts Fest, organized by the faculty of Arts of St Aloysius College, in the city. It boasts of a total of 15 competitions. ArtBeat 2018 is themed ‘Grandeur – A Panorama of Heritage’ and focuses on the imperial history of India.

The fests will be held from February 1 to 3.
