SACCSA holds valedictory programme, students honoured

Mangaluru: The department of Commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), held the valedictory programme of St Agnes College Commerce Students Association (SACCSA) in the college auditorium.

The chief guest for the programme was Dr B C Manjula, former HOD of Economics, St Agnes College (Autonomous). In her address, she inspired the students with several anecdotes that everything is possible for a person with positive attitude and willingness to work hard.

As the best practice of the department, six rank holders for the previous academic year, Akshatha, Dimple, Karshima, Delisha, Anusha and Asiya Siddiqa were felicitated during the valedictory programme. Joylin Monis Memorial Scholarship for the outstanding achiever of I BCom was awarded to Nerissa Noronha. All the students who had been a part of the extension activities of the department, volunteers of the conference, participants of the certificate courses, student trainers of soft skill workshops, students who rendered their services in the ‘adoption of a school’ project and the winners of various competitions organised by the department during the even semester were awarded with certificates and prizes.

G Yogyata, student vice-president for Commerce compered the programme. Ashvija Mendonsa, staff co-ordinator of SACCSA introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering. Lawren Castelino rendered the vote of thanks. Dr Devi Prabha Alva, HOD of Commerce, Lynn and Lipika, student co-ordinators of SACCSA were present on the dais.
