SCDCC earns record profit of Rs 23.75 crore

Mangaluru: South Canara District Central Co-Operative Bank LTD (SCDCC) has earned Rs 23.75 crore net profit for the financial year 2015-16 thereby earning the highest profit in its all time history. The bank has made the transaction of Rs 5548.58 crore in the financial year and has the aim of making Rs 6,300 crore transaction in the coming year. The bank has got Rs 3,099.11 crore deposit for the year 2015-16. This makes it the first district bank in the state to collect such huge deposits.

The bank has given a total of Rs 2449.47 crore loan to both agriculture and non agriculture sectors. In the agricultural sector the bank has received hundred percent repayment for the past 21 years. About 55,440 Rupay Kisan cards have been distributed to Mangala Kisan account holders. 25,651 Rupay debit cards have been distributed to other account holders.

The bank is aiming at launching an internet banking service shortly. ATM machines will be installed at every taluk centre.
