Udupi: On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Karnataka State, Sunni Muslim Students Federation (SSF) will be organizing “Karnataka Yathra” from 25th October, 2014 to 2nd November, 2014 through twenty districts of the Karnataka State. The Yathra will start from Gulburga to Mangaluru led by Sulhanul Ulama A. P. Aboobaker Musliyar, Honorable Secretary of Akila Bharatha Sunni Vidvansha Okkoota.

On October 25th at Gulburga Kwaja Bandhe Nawaz Darga Ziyarath at 3 pm the yathra starts and proceeded towards Gulburga, Bijapura, Bagalkot, Hubballi, Haveri, Ballari, Davanagere, Shivmugga, Uttarkannada, Udupi, Chickmaglur, Hasana, Thumkur, Bangalore, Ramnagar, Mandya, Mysore and Kodagu. On November 2nd valedictory function will be held at Mangaluru.

All the junctions of the yathra will be welcomed by prominent personalities of various religions, politicians, Cultural leaders and other social leaders with the slogans of “Respect Humanity”.

This Yathra will reach Udupi on Wednesday, 29th October, 2014 and at 4pm on that day Brahat convention to be held at Karavali Byepass. During the convention at Udupi near Karavali junction, Southern Karnataka, Sunni Centre, Central President Ashahid K.S. Atikoya Tanjal will bless the occasion. Vinayakumar Sorake District in charge Minister will inaugurate the convention. Sultanul Ulama A. P. Abboobaker will be the main speaker on the occasion.

Karnataka Yathra Convener, N.K.M. Mohammed Shafi Sahadi, State SYS President K. P. Hussain Sahadi K.C.Road, SSF former State President Maulana Dr. Mohammed Fazil Razvi Kavalakatte will convey his message in Kannada, Urdu, Malayalam and other languages. Chief guests of the occasion are Pejawara, Shirror, Admar Mutt Swamijis’ Milagres Cathedral Rector Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, State Health Minister U. T. Kadar, Pramod Madwaraj local MLA, Halady Srinivas Shetty MLA, Gopala Poojary MLA, Sunil Kumar MLA, Janab Abdul Gaffoor, Thinagale Vikramarguna Hegde, Deveprasad Shetty, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Pratapchandra Shetty and other leaders will participate during the convention.
