Sandesha and U Excel hold programme on eye care ‘Drashti’

Mangaluru: Sandesha Foundation and U Excel Mangaluru, jointly organized a programme ‘Drashti’to create awareness on eye care and eye donation at Town Hall.

Ivan D’Souza, MLC, was the chief guest. Dr Hrishikesh Amin of K S Hegde Hospital spoke on the value of donation of eyes. During his talk he invited all to pledge their eyes for donation so that the donor can live on through whom his or her eyes are donated. Savitha Salian gave tips on eye care and Devika Purushottam spoke yogic eye care.

During the programme George Fernandes, the founder of Sauharda Co-operative Bank and Madhav Bhat, renowned Hindustani vocalist and violinist of Sandesha Foundation, were felicitated. Maria D’Costa, director, U Excel Mangaluru, welcomed the gathering and Fr Nelson Dalmeida, director, Sandesha Foundation, rendered the vote of thanks. Vani Rajgopal, the staff of Sandesha Foundation, along with her students performed Bharatanatyam dances which thrilled the audience. Deeraj D’Costa and Sanjana Bhat compered the programme.
