Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration NSS unit holds 'Arogya'

Mangaluru: National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration in collaboration with KSHEMA, Deralakatte recently organised 'Arogya - 2018' (free medical camp) at the college campus.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Pavan Kumar (asst professor, community medical science). The programme began with a prayer. Dhanya Menon, NSS officer welcomed the gathering and the NSS student coordinator Mervin Vas rendered the vote of thanks. Prof Amar Z Cherian addressed the gathering, Santhosh N P, social worker in community service was also present. 141 people including students benefited from this medical camp.

In the afternoon, the NSS unit organised a 'Traffic Awareness Seminar' in Utsav, the college auditorium.

The ACP Traffic police of Mangaluru city zone and team were present for this seminar. ACP Manjunath Shetty gave a talk on road safety and importance.

Later Amanulla, inspector of traffic police talked briefly about traffic rules. Toward the end there was an interactive session with the students.
