Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration celebrates "Onam Sadya"

Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration celebrated "Onam Sadya" on 15th September 2018 at Nitte Campus, Kodakkal,Mangalore. Students designed floral carpets called "Pookalam". Tug of War and other sports and games events were organised. Girls performed a graceful traditional clap dance "Kaikotikalli". Artists performed with chenda melam drums and enthralled the audience. Onam is a time to show off the vast cultural heritage and rich variety of Keralites who celebrate it with much vigor than any other festival. Onam celebrations were held with great cheer and the cultural extravaganza.

The cultural programmes got underway after the inauguration at 12:30 pm. The programmes included "Onapookkalam Competition". The competition started at 12:00 pm and each of the classes decorated their respective allotted areas with astonishing designs, bringing out the creative talent of SIHA. A massive "Onasadya" was served for the entire college at TIME OUT. The staff and students enjoyed the sumptuous Onam feast. The Sadya received much acclaim for the faculty and student community.The onam sadya was followed by various games and Tug War.
