Sarva Dharma Deepavali to be celebrated at Udupi on 27th October

Udupi: Sauhardha Committee, Catholic Sabha, Our Lady of Mother of Sorrows Church and Udupi Diocese will jointly organize the celebration of Sarva Dharma Deepavali  at Udupi with installation of 26 feet high and 10 feet width Gududeepa at the Campus of Our Lady of Sorrow Church on Monday, 27th October, 2014 at 5 p.m.

During the Sarva Dharma Deepavali celebrations, Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese to preside, the Shirooru Mutt Swamiji Sri Sri Laxmivarathirtha Sripada, Malpe Jamia Masjid Priest Maulana Imranullha Mansoori, Udupi CSI Church Zone President Rt. Steevan Sarvotham, Entrepreneur Manohar Shetty, Rev Fr. William Martis Director of Inter Religious Commission and others will be present.

Speaking on the press conference Very Rev. Fr. Fredrick Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Udupi Church said that during the celebration Rangoli and Gududeepa competitions, and other cultural programs will be conducted.

Along with Fr. Fredrick Mascarenhas, Sauhardha Committee Convener Alphonse D’Costa, Nagarika Committee Secretary Nithyananda Olakkadu, Catholic Sabha President Lesli Cornelio and Janab T. S. Budan Basha of Udupi Jamia Masjid President were present during the press meet.
