Science Fest ‘Avishkar 2016’ held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Science Forum of St Philomena College Puttur organized an intercollegiate science fest ‘Avishkar 2016’ on February 10, 2016 in college auditorium.

The former HOD of Physics of Prof. Suresh Rao inaugurated the Fest and said, ‘In modern days, science and technology play a vital role in the life of the people.’

The Director of ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research, Puttur Prof. P L Saroj, the Campus Director Rev Dr Antony Prakash Montiero and the Pricncipal of St Philomena P U College Rev Fr Vijay Lobo participated as the chief guests.

The Principal, Prof Leo Noronha gave the preliminary address. The correspondent Very Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto presided over the function. The Convenor of Science Forum Prof. Udaya K was present on this occasion. The student coordinator Mr. Yathish Kumar welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shradda Saroj proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Elizabeth Sebastian compered the programme.
