Seminar on ‘Empowerment’- Perspectives & Prospects held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Women Empowerment Cell of PG Centre of St Philomena College Puttur organised a seminar on ‘Empowerment’ - Perspectives & Prospects on January 30, 2016 in College auditorium.

Mrs. Sushila, Additional Advocate, High Court of Karnataka was the resource person. She said, ‘Women empowerment refers to strengthening the social, economic and educational powers of women. It also refers to an environment where there is no gender bias and have equal rights in community, society and work places.’

Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the function. Ms. Varsha Moleyar and team presented the prayer. Prof. Srimani, Convenor of the women Empowerment Cell welcomed the gathering. Prof. Shwetha proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Kamalakshi compered the programme.
