Shimoga Nov.29: The Inter-Religious Commission had organized a one day seminar on “Understanding the different faiths based on Church documents.” for Carmel Deanery and Vianney Deanery Parish Council Members, Finance Committee Members and Small Christian Community leaders at Sacred Heart Cathedral hall on Sunday January 29th at 10am. 132 members from 13 parishes were present for the seminar.

The programme began at 10.30am with a prayer led by Fr. Ivan D’Souza OCD. Mrs. Sagaya Mary welcomed the dignitaries and the participants. Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Gilbert Lobo, SMSSS Director Rev. Fr. Veeresh V. Moras, Director of Dhyanavan, Carmelite International Institute of Spirituality, Mysore Fr. Dominic Vas OCD, Director for Commission of Inter Religious Dialogue(CIRD) Fr. Jerome Moras OCD, Rev. Fr. Ivan D'souza were present on the Dias.

The seminar was inaugurated by lighting lamp by all the dignitaries. Fr. Jerome Moras the CIRD Director, introduced the resource person. Soon after the stage programme Rev. Fr. Dominic Vas gave a session on Church understanding on Inter religious harmony in reference with Scripture and Church Documents. At the end he clarified the doubts raised by the participants.

This programme was organized under the able leadership of Rev Fr. Jerome Moras. It was compered by Mr. Salvadore Pereira. Fr. Jerome Moras proposed the vote of thanks to all those who made the programme a great success.

Everyone expressed their appreciation and satisfaction for the inspirational and meaningful session. This program culminated with a meal. It was appreciated and relished by all.
