Udupi : The services for the public of the Press Photographers would be appreciated. Even though having various other professions, the selection of journalism work would be appreciated, that is due to their profession of photography they can serve the people through journalism as well. The photography is other part of journalism, said Yaspal Suvarna President of D. K. and Udupi Districts Fish Trade Federation during his inaugural speech on account of World Photographers Day celebrations held at Udupi Press Club which was organized by Udupi District Working Journalists Association along with Udupi Press Club, Udupi on Wednesday, 26th August, 2015.

Rohini K., District Information Department official was the chief guest and said that photography is tool to remember old memories which gives former happenings. It has power to block and keep memories alive.

Ganapathy Bhat (GB), Senior Press Photographer and A. Ishwarayya, Senior Journalist and welknown thinker were others who were present on the dais. Jayakar Suvarna, President of UDWJA presided the occasion and gave key note address. Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, Secretary of UDWJA was present on the dais.

The interaction was held with the journalists along with Ganapathy Bhat and A. Ishwarayya during the occasion. A. Ishwarayya was felicitated during the occasion. After the felicitation programme, he said that just clicking a photo is not a real photographer. A photographer has to be creative and should be aware of his task.

A press photographer should be in positive approach and keep integrity. He should be a responsible person, while giving reports to the. He pointed out several responsibility as well as services of the media photography.

Earlier, Ganesh Prasad Pandelu welcomed the gathering. Chetan Padubidri, Convener of Press Club delivered vote of thanks. Rakesh Kunjoor, Joint Secretary compered the programme. Rajesh Shetty Treasurer, Harish Kumar Hejmady State Working Committee member, Nazir Polya and others were present during the occasion.
