Kundapur, June 11: Deanery level election of Catholic women’s association of Kundapur Deanery for the year of 2016-17 was held at St.Mary’s P.U.College Auditorium. Shanti Carvalho of Kundapur Unit was elected as the president of the association. Maria Pierera Byndoor (vice-president), Jenny D’sa Piyus Nagar (secretary), Eugine D’souza, Padukone (joint secretary), Celine Lobo Gangolli (treasurer), Janet Banz Sastana (representative of Mothia Magazine) were elected.
Cynthia D’souza, Sastana and Nora D’souza were elected as representatives of central committee. Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Reginald Pinto-the director of “Sampada” of Udupi diocese conducted the election procedure.
“Through the organization, we should extend our service for the welfare of the society” said Rev.Fr. Anil D’souza – the dean of Kundapur deanery. Nine units from Kundapur deanery were present during this occasion.
The central convener Sister Martis and zonal convener Sister Juliana A C were present. The president of Kundapur zone - Vinaya D’costa extended co-operation for the election procedure. Preethi Fernandes welcomed all; Rev.Fr. Reginald Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
