Udupi:The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah should auction his controversial watch and use this amount for the good cause. The Prime Minister of the country had auctioned his much expensive suit for Rs. 4 crore and people forgave him, Likewise, Siddaramaiah also auctioned the costly watch and should utilize for better cause, so that the issue will be resolved, said Janardhan Poojary Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister.

Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan, Udupi that whether the Lokayukta going to take action against Siddaramaiah over the issue of costly watch, then similar action should be taken against Narendra Modi for wearing the costly suit.

He said the Chief Minister should apologize for the watch issue. No politicians should have love for gifts. They should think that they are the people’s representatives. There is a Rs. 152 crore bribe allegation against H.D. Kumarswamy which CBI investigates the allegation and the case is in the Supreme Court. The land encroachment of 200 acres in Bidadi and other corruption cases are pending against Kumaraswamy.

Students of Delhi are protesting on the row of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and against the arrest of students’ leader Kanhaiya Kumar. There are no such anti national statements by him as per the video. Meanwhile, there was no mistake by Rahul Gandhi or Sitharam Yechury of visiting the JNU campus. Modi should take action against his ministers who are creating fear unnecessarily.

To a question on Jayaprakash Hegde, he said Jayaprakash Hegde is a good man. Pratapchandra Shetty has done injustice to him. But he should not be contested as rebel candidate. Those who are going to resign from Congress and going along with him are fans of Jayaprakash Hegde, he said.

Another question on the congress has won only one seat and the BJP won two seats in the Assembly by-elections, he said congress is in the same position as earlier and there is no change in the Congress party. On the coming ZP and TP elections Congress will do the better and going to win more seats. It will be no fair to rebel candidates who file nominations against the congress.
