Soft Skill training programme held for non-Christian students

Mangaluru: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Milagres college organised soft skill training programme for non-Christian students on Friday. Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL) conducted the programme for the students.Speaking on the occasion, S Nandagopal, convener of CIL said, "Preparation of life happens when you shift from school to college. College life is segmented into three parts where you need to prepare and plan yourselves to be ready to face the challenges of this competitive world. There are opportunities everyone. You have to be ready to grab and utilise it. Stop studying and start learning."

Dr A Lourdusamy, department of English, St Agnes College, Mahesh Nayak, executive editor of Mangalore Today and CEO of Iris Communication; Chengappa Mann, journalist, chairman of DC studio, advertising consultant; Regina Dinesh, linguistic expert, compere and guest faculty in English at various colleges; Asha Lobo, HR professional, faculty, Department of HR at Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work; Sachitha Nandagopal, faculty at Centre for Ethics at Yenepoya University and Abhishek Kukkilaya, NITK were present.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Milagres college, also organised Spiritual Revival Retreat for the Christian students of the college at Milagres church.

Fr Maxim Misquith SJ who spoke on the occasion, thanked the faculty and organisers for organizing the retreat and inviting him and his team there. "The day is going to be fruitful. What you sow, so shall you reap. How much you give to God is how much you will get it in return from God," he said.

Peter Fernandes, Cyprian Vas, Elias and principal Fr Michael Santhumayor were present.
