Spell Bee championship 2017 held

Mangaluru: The Spell Bee championship 2017- Season 2 was powered by Pana Education in association with Tata Stryder, Shoppers Stop and Jyoti Cycle and held at Forum Fiza mall on April 29 and 30.

It was conducted for two categories of contestants namely, junior category for seven to fifteen years of age and senior category for the age group of twelve to fifteen years.

600 kids registered for the competition. The preliminary round comprised of questions which required a tick for the correct answer.

25 kids qualified for the dictation test in the quarter finals.

15 kids qualified for the semi-final first round and ten kids made it to the semi-final second round.

Saif Sheikh, Sufiyaana, Alima, Arvin and Andrea were the top five in the senior category.

Samarth, Saranga Roa, Josh Desai, Ibrahim and Roy were the top five in the junior category.

The finalists of the junior round were Roy Saldanha of St Theresa School and Saranga Roa of Canara School.

The finalists of the senior category were Sufiyaan of St Aloysious and Arvin.
