St Agnes College conducts ACCA orientation programme

Mangaluru: The Department of Commerce of St Agnes College organized an orientation programme on ACCA on July 12 at the college conference hall for the students of ACCA. The resource person Prashanth, regional head of ACCA, South Indian Zone explained the background of ACCA and the major role it plays in the corporate world. He also spoke about the various job opportunities provided by ACCA through its career portal, career fairs and other placements.

A motivating speech by Jayepen, ACCA member who has worked with Ernst and Young and J P Morgan filled the students with determination and also gave them a few tips to help them crack the ACCA examination.

Jaygoel, an ACCA member conducted an interaction session by playing a short video on the journey of a few ACCA members. He answered the queries of the students and also shared his ACCA experience.

This was followed by a technical session. Fathima an operations manager, ISDC Bengaluru gave an overall view on the structure of ACCA course and other optional diplomas provided at ACCA, UK.

The ISDC co-ordinator, Vasumathi, principal, Dr Sr M Jeswina AC, Dr Devi Prabha Alva HOD of Commerce and the staff members of the department were present at the programme.
