St Agnes College organises handball tournament for women

Mangaluru: St Agnes College organised Mangalore University Intercollegiate Handball Tournament for Women on January 29 and 30.

As many as 13 different colleges affiliated to Mangalore University participated in this tournament. Alva’s College, Moodbidri won the championship trophy. St Ann’s College Virajpet won the second place and St Agnes College won the third place.

Dharani Kallappa adjudged as ‘Best Attacker’ and Bhagyashree adjudged as ‘Best Goal Keeper’, both students of Alva’s College, Moodbidri and Akkamma from St Ann’s College, Virajpet adjudged as ‘Best All Rounder’.

Dr Kishore Kumar C K, physical director, Mangalore University was the chief guest. Sr Dr M Jeswina presided over the programme. PTA vice-president Neena S and PG co-ordinator, Dr Noeline J Pinto were present during the programme. Sports secretary Mamatha compered the programme. Physical culture instructor Vasudha S rendered the vote of thanks.
