St Ann’s College celebrates 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

Mangaluru: Nation is commemorating 150th birth anniversary of the father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi. To mark this great event, Swachh Bharat mission is launched to achieve clean India. St Ann’s College of Education celebrated this great occasion in a befitting manner.

Gandhian principles and thoughts on cleanliness were highlighted through a presentation and a play was staged by the student teachers. This was followed by a Swacch pledge taken by the teacher trainees and staff.

Principal Dr Sr Leonilla Menezes AC, while addressing the students gave a clarion call to maintain one’s own personal hygiene and cleanliness and to start this noble task from one’s own family and surrounding.

A short skit gave a powerful message on our role toward cleanliness.

Carol D’Souza compered the programme, Jahnavi Sanal administered the oath. Sr Dorothy AC coordinated the programme.
