St Anthony’s Ashram, Jeppu - Second day of Triduum

Mangaluru: Rev Fr Vincent Monteiro, the Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church, Bendur Celebrated the Holy Mass at 6 p.m. at Milagres Church as part of the Triduum in preparation for the Annual Feast. In his homily he said that St Anthony by preaching the Word of God gave witness to Jesus. He said, “St Anthony was a tireless preacher” . Becasue of his zeal for the Kingdom of God he didn’t rest but dedicated himself totally for the Kingdom. Because of his preaching many who had gone away from the Church returned back to the fold. He was known as the hammer of heretics as he used to confront the heretics through his powerful preaching. As devotees to St Anthony we have to develop our love for the Word of God which leads us in the right path, he said.

 

Fr Thrishan D’Souza, the Asst Director conducted the Novena. Fr Gerald Sequeira and Fr Francis D’Souza concelebrated the Mass. More than thousand people participated in the devotion.
