St Mary’s and Don Bosco Institutions Teacher’s Day Celebration

Udupi: Let us remember, One book, one pen, one child and one teacher can change the world.

Teachers are the torch bearers of the Gen-next. They play a major role in making their students responsible citizen of tomorrow. Teacher’s Day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers.

The vast educational Campus under thecanopy of Our Lady of Health Church celebrated Teacher’s Day on 4th September2017 at Don Bosco English Medium School. The Chief Guest was an eminent personality Prof Mahabaleshwar Rao, Principal T M A Pai College of Education, Kunjibettu.

In his message Prof Rao said that we got an Organized School after the British . Today the teacher community is diminishing, how can we expect to built the future the nation? Best School Award is judged by the results and not by teaching learning process. The present day teachers are facing many hurdles compulsory promotion, no punishment,POSCO Act etc. Inspite of these obstacles teachers should not shun their duties. A teacher’s greatest award is their student. In his presidential address the Correspondent highlighted the existence of the First formal school, 119 years ago was Don Bosco. If it has survived and progressing it is the hard work, dedication of the teachers. Teacher’s Day Celebration gives us an opportunity to get together and know each other.

The principal Rev Fr. Mahesh D Souza welcomed the gathering and introduced the Guest. The Chief Guest was felicitated by the Correspondent and the dignitaries on the dais. Mr.Umesh conducted the Spot Games and prizes were given to the winners. A feast to the eyes was the talents exhibited by the teachers of Don Bosco English Medium School through dances and skit.

Mrs. Cynthia Periera anchored the programme,Mrs.Cecilia Lewis proposed the Vote of Thanks.
