St Philomena College Puttur will hold National Seminar on ‘E-Resources, Intellectual Property Rights and Plagiarism-Issues and Challenges’

Puttur: Internal Quality Assurance Cell of St Philomena College Puttur will organize One Day National Level Seminar on ‘E-Resources, Intellectual Property Rights and Plagiarism-Issues and Challenges’ on September 29, 2018 in College auditorium.

 

The Former Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University, Shimoga Dr Chidananda Gowda K will inaugurate and deliver the keynote address. The Campus Director of College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro will be the guest of honour. The Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto will preside.

The Seminar consists of three technical sessions. In the first session, Dr Anand Byrappa, Head, JRD Tata Memorial Library, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will present on the topic ‘Application of Intellectual Property Rights in this Electronic Age’. In the second session, Dr Prakash K, Librarian, KSOU, Mysore will deliver on ‘E-Resources, Copyright and Authorship’. In the third session, Dr Sunil M V, Librarian, SDMIMD, Mysore will make presentation on ‘Plagiarism and Copyright Infringement’.

The valedictory session will be held in the evening. The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha will preside.

The Researchers, Professors, Librarians, Physical Education Directors and Academicians from various regions of the country will participate as delegates.

The Convenor of IQAC Dr A P Radhakrishna and Coordinator of Seminar Mr Vinayachandra will coordinate the Seminar.
